Book Binding

This sample was to depict e.g. Book or booklet representing mountioan. This is why the overal shape of the sample is a triangle.
This sample was one of the first samples I made. The order of the numbers show what side would the reader read first. I will try to concider this in future experiments with (soft/hard back) book binding.

This sample shows how to bind a book together with an elastic band. I felt that this is a good method of a booklet if you need a booklet in a minute. This is also the case with the booklet beside it as you just use a hole puncher on the side of the book and tie it up using a ribbon etc.. In this case thread.

After getting the gist of  using this quick method I then experimented with the different shapes I could use. As it was near valentines day I decided to made a book representing that day. I cut different sizes of hearts then layered them on top of eachother to create a colourful pattern inside. In my opinion I felt this sample looked more appealing then the otherst hat I made as the other samples looked almost the same.

I felt that the envelope sample turned out the best as I have never seen a book binding technquie that reflects an envelope before.

I felt that I have experimented with alot of different styles from the soft binding technquies and that this would help me for furture designs.
