Weather - day 7

These images show that I have carved the shape of the strawberry representing the summer.

After carving the shape I glued kitchen roll to the styrofoam to make a smooth surface for when the glue had dried I could paint over it without no bumps that would cause the mould to look unrealistic.

Weather - Day 6

These image are the re development from the pervious designs. I used photoshop to clearly reflect the season, the strawberry represents the summer, the cabbage represents the spring, pumpkin links to the aultum and the brussel sprout represents the winter.

After theses design were created I then though back to the previous layouts I used for channel 4, I would then see if the same layouts worked as well as before.

Weather Project - Day 4

I choose simular layout to pervious ones from channel 4. The layout I thought that suited best was the layed on as in the developed design the images merged together likewise to the weather as the weather can be very inpredictable.

After researching more on the food aspect of the weather I came across foods representing the different seasons. This enhanced my thinking on how to develop my designs even more.

Typography (talk)

Helvetia (is lazy)
Akdeniz grotesque (h) was inspired by AG
Parallax - heavy block
Furture Paul renner
Amvw
Cgoq
Don't overload one typeface can be enough
Gill sans Eric gill great for print big text
Used n the bbc logo swirls on the end of the letter great for letter press

Typography mistakes - one work AT&T he end go a block of a paragraphs  (wido) only if it's creative writing likewise to a poem
Not shaped (line drag) to shape it
Sarah typeface normally don't use a two letter word at the end looks like it will break off
Using bold text regular or book is better
Bold acts too tight too narrow

Fraser mugger idle studio breaks the rules but it works
Visual editions shuffle the pages and still makes sence  single pages Marc great looking events
Graphic design great expectations

Weather Project - Day 3

This development I used photoshop to make the image look more professional.

After seeing the photoshopped images I thought that they were to plan so I used an app on my ipad which could add more effects one images, this include drip and dottie effects to portray the weather.

Once looking back over the adapted designs espeaically the ice cream design I felt that it was to shimmery because you couldn't see the faceal features that it took away from being personal to me.
After looking at the channel 4 advertisment layouts I thought about how I could layout my designs perhaps in a similar way p, I will concider this in furture development.

Weather Project - Day 2

The illustrations from Jonny Glover made a massive influence in the route I wanted to take this theme to, perhaps using a similar concept that would be more unexpected for 'weather' e.g. Theses illustrations could perhaps depicts when the weather effects peoples hairstyles depending on the different conditions.

After thinking about this idea I came across an image of the sky, in front was a girl with similar colouring. As the sky and the film 'cloudy with a chance of meatballs' this gave me the idea of combining theses two features together to create 'food hairstyles' representing the weather.

In my opinion after thinking through this concept I felt that it was too confusing representing the weather as there were to many elements within this design.
I need to think of a clearer way of showing the weather but still using that unusual appearance likewise to Jonny Glover.

Hidden treasures - Day 2

For this developed design I took the  inspiration from Audrey kitchings inspired eye paintings I took this idea as from a photo I took of a tree near by where I Live. The detail on the tree looked like a eye which is a 'hidden treasure' or a hidden meaning right under our nose. I used a few technquies for this particular design. I used collarges to show the texture of the bark but it didn't really depicts the pattern of the eye. For another development I used a fine liner to symbolise the patter so that the message I'm depicting is clear. I then went on to use tracing paper but I felt that it didn't work aswell as the previous design.

For further refrence I will keep experimenting with different skills and materials in order to produce the right appearance.

Hidden treasures - Day 1

I brainstormed a varity of subjects that would relate to a hidden treasure thinking back to the V&A illustrations from Minho Kwon it's not what it seems a hidden treasure?

I always looked at street art as it is a hidden treasure as many people don't see what others see they perhaps might be a hidden world within ours. There are also hidden meanings in poems and nursery rhymes e.g. In Paula regos art work mice image.

Overall I felt that I had a good varity of ideas but thought that I ran out of time to develop them.
